1. Fares for public bus services are as follow:

2. The geographic definitions of the above routes and their respective fares are:

  1. “Taipa” and “within Taipa”: The area from Taipa to the north of Estrada Flor de Lótus (including Estrada Flor de Lótus, except the bus stop at COTAI Border Checkpoint Building);
  2. “Coloane” and “Coloane village”: South of Estrada Flor de Lótus (including the bus stop at COTAI Border Checkpoint Building), as well as the area along the Coloane village and to its north.
  3. Hac Sa Beach or Ka Ho: The road section from Coloane village to Hac Sa Beach or Ka Ho and back.

Monthly Pass

    1. The Monthly Pass scheme will be in effect from August 1, 2011 to  July 31, 2018.
    2. Monthly Pass holders may enjoy unlimited public bus services within the specified month.
    3. Each monthly pass contains its holder’s photo and name, and is non-transferable.
    4. Each monthly pass costs MOP280.00 (initial production cost not included).
    5. Application for the Monthly Pass should be made in advance to the designated supplier, together with the payment of the initial production fee (MOP40.00 per Pass).

Concessionary fare

  1. Concessionary Bus Fare Scheme for the Elderly, Concessionary Bus Fare Scheme for Students, Concessionary Bus Fare Scheme for Public Transport, and Concessionary Bus Fare Scheme for the Disabled will be extended till July 31, 2018.

  2. Beneficiaries:
    1. Concessionary Bus Fare Scheme for the Elderly: Applicable to Macao residents aged 65 or above;
    2. Concessionary Bus Fare Scheme for the Disabled: Applicable to holders of Disability Assessment Registration Card issued by the Social Welfare Bureau of the Macao SAR;
    3. Concessionary Bus Fare Scheme for Students: Applicable to all full-time Macao school students;
    4. Concessionary Bus Fare Scheme for Public Transport: Applicable to all other passengers.
  3. Means to enjoy the concession: With the purchase of a non-personalized e-currency stored-value card (known as Macau Pass) or the application for a personalized card, both of which can be recharged according to needs, and then use the card to pay public bus fares, its holder can enjoy the following concessions:

  4. The initial production cost of MOP50 of the personalized card for the elderly, the disabled and students will be paid by the Macao SAR Government, as a form of subsidy.

 

Bus-to-bus interchange concessions

  1. The bus-to-bus interchange concession, provided by the Macao SAR Government, will be in effect from  August 1, 2011 to  July 31, 2018.
  2. The e-currency stored-value cards entitled to bus-to-bus interchange concession are: Personalized cards for the Elderly, Students and the Disability, non-personalized Card and other cards to be appointed by the Macao SAR Government.
  3. If a passenger uses the same e-currency stored-value card to pay the fares for two bus trips within the specified interchange period, and the two bus routes are listed on the bus-to-bus interchange chart, he or she will have to pay the fare for one trip only. (Fares are charged according to the service zone as shown on the bus-to-bus interchange combination chart.)
  4. Passengers paying bus fares with Personalized cards for the Elderly, Students and the Disability, and travel according to the routes listed on the bus-to-bus interchange chart, only have to pay MOP0.3 or MOP1.0 for the first trip, and the second trip will be free of charge. As for passengers using other cards, and travel according to the routes listed on the bus-to-bus interchange chart, should pay only MOP2.0 for single-zone travel, MOP2.5 for two-zone, and MOP3.0 for three-zone.   5. To protect passengers from repeatedly paying fare for the same trip when using e-currency stored-value cards, all cards can only be re-used on the same payment device five minutes after its previous transaction.
  6. Except for specified routes, bus-to-bus interchange concession is not applicable when traveling on the same bus route.
  7. Bus-to-bus interchange concession is not applicable when the stored-value of a card is zero or of negative value.
  8. Bus-to-bus interchange combination chart:
    Single-zone passengers may enjoy free interchange. Cross-zone passengers traveling in the “Macao→Taipa→Coloane” or “Coloane→Taipa→Macao” sequence may also be entitled to interchange concession:

    Note 1: Route indication: The first location refers to the boarding point; the second location refers to the alighting destination. For example: “Macao→Taipa”means the passenger boards the bus on Macao peninsula and the destination of the bus is Taipa.

    Note 2: Time limit for interchange: This refers to the maximum time allowed for using the same e-currency stored-value card twice for the purpose of bus-to-bus interchange. The time limit for bus-bus interchange is 60 minutes, regardless of whether the boarding points - of the first and the second leg of the journey - are in the same zone.

  10. The availability of bus-to-bus interchange concession may be interrupted during operation change and system upgrade periods. Passengers are advised to pay attention to the announcements made by the Transport Bureau (DSAT).

Example

Example 1: Ilha Verde - Conde S. Januario Hospital

Ah Yan pays a bus fare of MOP2.0 with a stored-value card taking Route 8 from the Ilha Verde terminal to Edifício "Administração Pública" on Rua do Campo. Then she takes Route H1 from there and alights at Conde S. Januario Hospital stop. Ah Yan can enjoy free interchange within the same zone and does not have to pay for her latter trip.

Example 2: Dynasty Plaza (nearby the Blood Donation Centre) - Plaza Grande China, Taipa

Ah Yan pays a bus fare of MOP2.0 with a stored-value card taking Route 3A from the Blood Donation Centre to Praça de Ferreira do Amaral. Then she takes Route 22 from there and alights at Plaza Grande China, Taipa. She can enjoy a cross-zone bus-bus interchange discount and only has to pay MOP0.5 for her latter trip.

Example 3: Edf. Hoi Pan Garden, Avenida do Nordeste - Hac Sa Beach

Ah Yan pays a bus fare of MOP2.5 with a stored-value card taking Route 34 from Avenida do Nordeste / Edf. Hoi Pan to Macao Stadium, Taipa. Then she takes Route 25 from there and alights at Hac Sa Beach. This is a three-zone interchange, and Ah Yan only has to pay a fare difference of MOP0.5 for her latter trip.

Other arrangements

A maximum of two children, both not taller than one meter, and accompanied by a passenger, can travel free of charge.

Luggage surcharge

Luggage surcharge is not applicable.
