1. Posto de Transferência de Mercadorias Transfronteiriço de Macau da Ponte Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau
In order to further promoting the development of logistical activities and commercial trades between Hong Kong and Macao, as well as orderly implementing the plan for transporting goods between Hong Kong and Macao via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Transport Bureau has launched the construction works of the “The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Macao Cross-Border Cargo Transfer Terminal” at the end of 2022, which were completed in the first half of 2023, contributing to the delivery , receipt and transit of cross-border goods quickly and conveniently by land between Hong Kong and Macao.

 

The Transfer Terminal, which is located in the restricted area of the Macao border crossing of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, with an area of approximately 16,000 square meters, and which operates 24 hours a day, has 20 parking spaces for container vehicles, and is equipped with lift platforms and loading and unloading platforms, which are expected to be made available daily for use by around 400 goods vehicles in Hong Kong, which are booked in advance. The Transfer Terminal also has 5 temporary places to supply electricity for refrigerated containers, a weighbridge for trucks, and areas for disinfection spray and health care facilities.

 

As for the qualified goods vehicles from Hong Kong and Macao, after completing the necessary procedures, are able to use the Macao Cross-Border Cargo Transfer Terminal for the delivery and transport of goods. The cross-border goods vehicles from Hong Kong do not need to deal with border crossing and customs clearance formalities in Macao, they can quickly return to Hong Kong via a dedicated flyover connected to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge right after the delivery and transport of the goods.

 

2. Hong Kong goods vehicles
Hong Kong goods vehicles can transport goods from Hong Kong to Macao via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and carry out delivery and reception at the Macao Cross-Border Cargo Transfer Terminal, and then return to Hong Kong with the goods taken in Macao.

After the validity period of the license for Hong Kong goods vehicles to use the Macao Cross-Border Cargo Transfer Terminal expires, applicants who intend to continue using the related service may submit a "New application" starting from the day following the expiration date. Alternatively, depending on actual operational needs, they can apply for "Cancellation of registration" in advance and immediately submit a "New application" thereafter.
(Note: Once the current license expires or is cancelled, a new license must be re-issued before vehicles can enter and use the Macao Cross-Border Cargo Transfer Terminal. Due to the requirements of the subsequent application procedures, it is recommended to prepare a valid Mainland China Compulsory Traffic Accident Liability Insurance for Motor Vehicles as early as possible.)

3. Macao goods vehicles traveling between Hong Kong and Macao

Upon arrival in Hong Kong, Macao goods vehicles can deliver and receive goods at the logistics facilities located at Hong Kong International Airport and then return to Macao with the goods taken from Hong Kong.

 


To ensure that the vehicle for application complies with the exhaust emission standards and noise emission standards required in Hong Kong, applicants may check the list of approved vehicle models via the following Environmental Protection Department websites before submitting the application:
